ABOUT HEALING YOGA

Meet Jennifer

Growing up in Kansas, but given the opportunity to travel all over, I have been seeking the meaning for life and happiness hidden in the nature of the world. I have seen people live authentically happy lives. I didn't know it was possible until I found the love of yoga.

My first yoga experience was provided by my high school cross country coach in 2009. He used yoga as a technique to strengthen my skills for long distance running. In this practice I was introduced and taught different asanas. As my practice continued and began to change I one day realized it was not just a practice of asanas but a practice of breathing and mindfulness. This created a strong outlook to help keep life balanced, during different ebbs and flows.

I was given the opportunity to deepen my love for yoga, starting in the spring of 2022. During this time, I participated in Sue Park's 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training. I gained knowledge and technique that has not only helped me navigate through the unexpected loss of my younger brother in the summer of 2021, but has given me the ability to help heal others on their journey.

While navigating through this experience; I want to use my skills, learnings, and love for yoga to help bring the healing powers of breathing and movement to any and all people. Especially those experiencing grief and trauma.

I believe that yoga is a way to heal, find peace, relieve stress, and a way to become intune with yourself.
